Specialty Contact Lenses

In addition to single vision contact lenses, specialty contact lenses are available to eligible contact lens wearers to accomodate for special eye health needs.

Tailor-Made Contact Lenses

Custom contact lenses are individually made to suit the shape and condition of the eye offering the wearer more comfort. Ideal for people requiring vision correction outside of the normal prescription range. If at some stage you have been told that contact lenses are not available in your prescription, we invite you to talk with your local ProVision optometrist about custom made contact lenses today.

Ortho-k Contact Lenses – Correct your vision while you sleep

Orthokeratology (also known as Ortho-K) involves gently reshaping the cornea with custom-made contact lenses to temporarily modify or eliminate refractive error, producing clear, lasting vision throughout the day. Ortho-K contact lenses are worn while you sleep, safe due to their highly breathable properties, and are removed in the morning. The cornea is highly elastic and will return to its original shape if Ortho-K lenses are not worn on a regular basis.

  • Experience clear vision without the need to wear glasses or contacts throughout the day
  • Achieve clear unaided vision that is reversible and has no surgical risks

Ortho-K is most suitable for swimmers, sportspeople, and people working in dusty environments or in jobs where where glasses or contact lenses are an inconvenience. To find out if you are eligible for Ortho-K, search for the nearest ProVision Optometrist that offers Ortho-K to schedule a contact lens consultation.

Multifocal Contact Lenses

As we grow older our vision begins to deteriorate and many people experience difficulty when reading at close or shorter distances. This condition is called Presbyopia. Multifocal Contact Lenses offer a no-glasses solution to those with Presbyopia and deliver clear vision at every distance; near, far and in between. They are available in daily wear, two weekly and monthly replacement options, as well as extended wear.

Contact Lenses for Astigmatism

New technology and developments in contact lenses have enabled the creation of Contact Lenses for Astigmatism, also known as Toric Lenses. These lenses are designed to not only improve vision, but are made to fit unique eye shapes and most importantly, to provide greater stability than traditional contact lenses. They are available in daily wear, two weekly and monthly replacement options, as well as extended wear.

If you think you could benefit from Ortho-K, Tailor-made or Multifocal contact lens solutions, we encourage you to speak to your local ProVision optometrist as they can recommend the best fit for your visual needs and lifestyle.
