Established in Oxford St Leederville in 1996, Eyes on Oxford is a proudly independent optometry practice providing personal, high quality, comprehensive eye and vision care in a family owned, and family oriented practice. Our team of optometrist offer over 150 years' combined clinical expertise, and have a strong focus on the care and management of children, adult and neurological cases. We provide intensive assessment and management of children and adults with lazy eye (amblyopia), turned eye (strabismus), learning, perceptual and reading challenges. Our highly experienced vision therapist complements our optometric management with customised vision therapy programs. Our whole top floor is dedicated to Eyes on Oxford Kids, and we are proud to stock the largest range of children's frames in Perth.

Independence is important to us as we can ensure that patient care always comes first. We also have the ability to puruse areas of clinical interest, including children's vision which is such a large part of our practice.

Darrell Baker
I have a keen interest in multifocal contact lens fitting, Ortho-K and dry eye therapy, as well as furthering the profession through my role as President of Optometry Australia. Playing the guitar and participating in sport are a few of my favourite past times.
Karen Miller
I graduated as an Optometrist in the UK in 2001. Before moving to Australia over 10 years ago, I worked in several optometry practices in Scotland and England. I have always enjoyed working with children and formally developed skills in this area in 2010, completing my diploma in Behavioural Optometry.
Michelle Beach
I joined Eyes on Oxford in 2012, two years after graduating from Optometry. I've since attained qualification to prescribe medicines for the eye, and completed the Masters of Optometry qualification in 2014. I am passionate about spending time each year providing valuable eye care to remote communities in WA.
Amma Ampofo
I was shortsighted as a child and was inspired by my regular visits to my own optometrist, who operated as a dedicated independent optometry practice. I've been an optometrist for 15 years and I enjoy helping children and adults improve their visual function and thereby their quality of life. In my spare time, I keep busy by caring for and entertaining my three boys.
Nicole Brower
Since completing my optometry qualifications, I have practised in Northern England, Albany and Perth. I enjoy providing optometric care for all ages, from young adults through to the elderly, including contact lens wearers. Outside of work, I have a busy family life and enjoy bike rides and the countryside.
Robert Burnie
I graduated optometry in New Zealand before making the jump across the ditch to sunny Australia. I also completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in neuroscience. I am particularly interested in how traumatic brain injuries and degenerative disorders can affect vision and how I can provide optometric care in these cases.
Shashi Patel
Optometry for me is a dynamic and rewarding career. I enjoy it’s vast scope and am always continuing to further my professional development. Recently I have taken an interest in Dry Eye diagnosis and management.
Giving back
Eyes on Oxford participates and donates to Optometry Giving Sight's World Sight Day Challenge. We have also partnered with the not-for-profit organisation, Madalah, and sponsored Perth's Special Children's Christmas Party. We accept donations of glasses that are distributed to those in need around the world and collect contact lens waste for recycling as part of Bausch + Lomb's Recycling Programme.
