At Bullseye Clinic, we are a team of optometrists, vision therapists and occupational therapists with over 30 years of collective experience. We are committed to making a substantial difference in people’s lives by collaborating together to provide amazing vision and sensory care. Our philosophy is based on behavioural and developmental optometry principles, and we believe vision care is not a one-size-fits-all solution but a personalised experience designed to suit each of our patient's unique lifestyles. Our optometrists deliver comprehensive eye care for all ages, including children's vision, myopia management, neuro-optometry, contact lenses, therapeutic care and orthokeratology.
Being independent allows us to place your best short and long term interests at the centre of everything we do. We have the freedom to invest in the best and latest equipment, and have been able to provide consistency of service and continuity to our patients for over 35 years now. Establishing a Behavioural approach to all patient care also requires more time consulting, which is only possible in an independent practice. We can also take the time when needed for community work and continuous clinical and professional education.
We love the diversity of our community, the open areas, accessibility to the city, the river, the ocean and transport.
I have a keen interest in multifocal contact lens fitting, Ortho-K and dry eye therapy, as well as furthering the profession through my role as President of Optometry Australia. Playing the guitar and participating in sport are a few of my favourite past times.
Since completing my optometry qualifications, I have practised in Northern England, Albany and Perth. I enjoy providing optometric care for all ages, from young adults through to the elderly, including contact lens wearers. Outside of work, I have a busy family life and enjoy bike rides and the countryside.
I graduated optometry in New Zealand before making the jump across the ditch to sunny Australia. I also completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in neuroscience. I am particularly interested in how traumatic brain injuries and degenerative disorders can affect vision and how I can provide optometric care in these cases.
Optometry for me is a dynamic and rewarding career. I enjoy it’s vast scope and am always continuing to further my professional development. Recently I have taken an interest in Dry Eye diagnosis and management.
Bullseye Optometry Clinic participates and donates to Optometry Giving Sight's World Sight Day Challenge. We have also sponsored the Melville City Football Club teams, junior T ball and senior baseball clubs. We accept donations of glasses that are distributed to those in need around the world.
