I chose a career in optometry because it perfectly combines my passion for healthcare with my interest in business. From a young age, I was drawn to helping people and knew I wanted to work in healthcare. Optometry allows me to impact individuals' lives positively every day—not just through clinical care but also by enhancing their quality of life with the right eyewear. I relish all facets of the job, from the precise clinical work to advising on the best frames that suit our patients' styles and needs. It’s a field that satisfies my desire for deep human connection and my appreciation for the finer details of fashion and retail. Every day brings a new opportunity to solve problems and make someone’s day a little brighter, which is incredibly fulfilling.
Giving back
Since taking over the practice in April 2024, we have continued the tradition of giving back to the community by donating glasses to the Lions Club Penrith, demonstrating our commitment to helping those in need. As we settle into our new role, we are eagerly exploring additional ways to engage in fundraising and volunteering. Our future plans include actively participating in local community initiatives, as we believe in supporting the well-being and development of Penrith and its residents. This commitment to community involvement is central to our mission as a family-owned, independent practice.
