Founded in 2006, we are a locally owned and operated independent optometry practice. We are dedicated to providing professional behavioural vision care, whilst utilising innovation in eyewear to create a unique visual solution to meet our clients' vision and eye-related needs.
We choose to be independent because this provides us with the agility to refine our eyecare and eyewear proposition to reflect the latest trends and provide better outcomes for our clients.
Our Darling Downs community is an amazing place to live and work. It is filled with diversity and opportunity with an established agricultural tradition and more recent energy sector boom. Our community is perfectly suited to living life to the fullest. It is a great place to raise a family and small enough to mean that commuting is almost non-existent, while large enough to provide high-quality support services (just like our practice).
I chose to become an optometrist because it offered the opportunity to be a health professional and a small business owner. I love the challenge of both. The most rewarding part of my job is getting the opportunity to see our loyal patients time and time again. In my spare time, I love spending time with family. Every moment is precious so finding that balance between home and work life is very important. I also enjoy fitness challenges such as triathlon, board and card games as well as visual media creation (videography). I've been practicing optometry for 20 years.
We know that without local support, local services and events don't happen. As such we always try to source products and services from reputable local, Australian suppliers. For example our main supplier is CR Surfacing which is one of the only Australian owned and operated lens manufacturing laboratories. We divert a large proportion of our marketing budget to supporting local events and community groups. We also support the Lions Recycle for Sight program which recycles old glasses and sends them to those in need.
