Our friendly and experienced staff are passionate about providing you with a personalised service to ensure your vision needs are met. You will always see a familiar face when returning to our practice, we place a high importance on providing continuity and reassurance, at the same time enjoying a laugh with you along the way.
Being an independent optometry practice gives us the flexibility to look after all our individual customers needs without having to compromise on that care. We are able to provide the latest in fashion frames and lens technologies to meet all budget ranges without compromising on the quality of our products.
Glenelg, one of Adelaide's most iconic beach side suburbs, has a strong local community and is also a very popular tourist destination. The tram which runs from the city to the beach front is an attraction for both locals and out of town visitors. As a Jetty Road business we have the advantage of working in a location with that slightly relaxed air that comes with our Aussie beach culture.
HoldfastBay Optometry is committed to supporting those at some disadvantage in both our local and global communities using our optometry experience. Locally we provide vision screenings for the Special Olympics and local schools through the Essilor Vision Foundation. Globally we fundraise and promote awareness for Optometry Giving Sight, an organisation providing resources for the 600million + people who are blind simply because they need a pair of glasses. In addition to this, our optometrists have had a strong involvement in the wider optometry community holding positions with both Optometry Australia (the professional association supporting Optometry), and with the regulatory authorities including AHPRA whose role is to ensure public safety and confidence in the profession.
