Kapunda Optometrist is a part of the wider Vision Hub Optometrists group. We are family-owned and run, and treat each client with an individualised and personalised level of attention. Our fantastic team have in-depth experience in the optometry field to provide you with high-quality eye care, coupled with fashionable eye wear for your absolute comfort. We also have a special interest in contact lenses, behavioural optometry and children's vision, and are therapeutically qualified to detect and treat complex eye diseases.

We chose to be independent because we wanted to break free from corporate pressures and offer vision health care that is client-focused. We strive to provide comprehensive eye care to everyone, in a stress free and openly accessible environment. Our clients are our top priority and being an independent practice gives us the flexibility and clinical freedom to operate without compromise.

What we love about Kapunda?
Kapunda is a fantastic part of rural South Australia. We are close to a number of wineries and there are so many wonderful places to visit and dine at. There is a real sense of community and the friendly faces of our locals make it a pleasure to come to work.

Michael Burnside
I first developed an interest in Optometry when I visited my Optometrist for an eye examination. I enjoyed that I could improve people's vision and because it is a primary sense it can have a significant impact on their lives. I love dealing with people holistically and helping to solve their particular visual and occupational issues. The technology and scope of practice has changed dramatically over the time I have been in practice with increasing emphasis on disease management. Outside of the practice, I enjoy spending time with family and playing golf.
Bonnie Eather
I chose to become an optometrist as being short-sighted myself, I have always had an interest in vision and eye health, and can fully appreciate the benefits that good vision care can have on a person's day-to-day life. I enjoy being able to problem-solve, and find it very rewarding being able to help people with their eyes. In my spare time, I love cooking, yoga, reading, and taking my Golden Retriever for walks on the family farm.
Giving back
We work closely with our local GP's to ensure that our mutual clients receive the optimum health care that they need and deserve. We are also proud to sponsor several local sports teams, and our wonderful optometrists regularly volunteer their time to conduct vision screening checks for the children at our local schools.
