I chose optometry by accident. I was filling out my uni preferences when my sister who had just completed her optometry degree walked past and said "Why don't you put down optometry?". And almost 40 years later I haven't looked back. When I'm not at the practice, you can find me lost in my vegie garden. My dad was a farmer and his dad before him. We grew the best citrus in the Hawkesbury Valley!

After a chance work experience at the local optometrist it seemed to tick all the boxes for my future career, and I've been practising now for over 20 years. I love seeing people of all ages with different needs. I enjoy taking the time to really talk to people and explain what is happening so they don't feel as though they are on a conveyor belt. Otherwise I am very much a 'home bird', juggling family life and gardening with chickens and sheep! Good old fashioned home cooking too.
