UV Protection From an Early Age

Did you know that an estimated 80% of a person’s lifetime exposure to UV occurs before the age of 18?^

Unlike the rest of the human body which can regenerate damaged cells, the eye lens, once damaged, can never repair itself. Children and young adults are more susceptible to sun damage to the eyes, so it’s crucial that good eyewear protection habits start early in life.

Wrap-around sunglasses offer great UV protection and are therefore recommended for children.

Prescription Sunglasses for Kids

Does your child require prescription eyewear? Sunglasses in their prescription are also available for children requiring vision correction.

Learn about Australian Sunglass Standards or contact your local ProVision optometrist to find a pair of sunglasses to protect your child’s eyes.
